Recess Rover

Supervise students during outdoor play time, ensuring their safety while they enjoy games and activities. You'll help resolve minor conflicts, and encourage inclusive play. Specific Help Needed at gaga ball, football and soccer. Recess times are listed below.

Cafeteria Helper

Assist students during lunch by helping them open packages, serve condiments (K-3), and navigate the lunch line. You'll also support cafeteria staff with tasks like ensuring students follow the cafeteria PAWS. This role helps create a positive, orderly lunch environment where kids can enjoy their meal and socialize safely. Lunch times listed below. Book Vending Machine Volunteers

On their birthday month, children receive a free book from our book vending machine. We need volunteers who can assist with escorting children vending to the machine and back after they have received their book. This happens on the same morning as Friday Morning Meetings and usually takes about 2 hours from 9:30-11:30. Ideally, we would get the same two volunteers to help out each month. Dress Up As Wiley for Events

Wiley is our Wildcat mascot and we need an army of volunteers we can reach out to interested in dressing up as Wiley for short periods of time at numerous events throughout the year. If interested in getting good vibes by cheering up students as the school mascot, reach out to info@oregontrailpto.com. Teens and students in middle school could also help out. 

Battle of the Books Volunteers

Email OBOBatOTE@gmail.com if interested in volunteering as a team coach for 3rd-5th grade students interested in forming Battle of the Book teams. 

OTE Garden Green Team Volunteers

Email info@oregontrailpto.com if interested in joining our OTE Garden Green Team. Looking for members interesting in periodically maintaining or watering the garden or joining to support small group lessons on ecosystems featuring the seasons of the garden.

To volunteer on field trips, in classrooms and at school events, please complete the following steps:  

1. Submit a North Clackamas School District Volunteer Application, which includes a background check. Background checks take time to process, so please ensure you apply well ahead of your desired volunteer dates.

2. View the NCSD Volunteer Training Video and the Oregon Trail Volunteer Orientation Presentation at the links below to ensure you are familiar with volunteer expectations and guidelines. 

You will receive notice when your volunteer application has been processed and your background check has been cleared.  Background checks expire after 3 years. You will need to reapply to volunteer at that time.
