Current Volunteer Opportunities

You must be an approved OTE Volunteer to sign up for these volunteer opportunities. If you have not been approved to volunteer, please find the volunteer application  and steps on being a NEW volunteer at the bottom of this page.

Career Day Volunteer 6/1/2026

Join us to support Career Day at OTE on June 1st. We need 7 volunteers from 8:30-11:30 to help to keep time at the presenting stations, let presenters know when there is 1 minute left and transition the students to the next station. Check in at the main office and you will be directed from there.

Field Day 6/10/2026

Join us for Field Day on Wednesday June 10th! This is a fun filled day of events to celebrate the end of the school year! We need volunteers to help with some of the special activities (instructions for each event will be provided at each station), track the time, and make sure students are being safe. We'll also need help with clean up following the event. Only volunteers are allowed at the event, so if you want to share the excitement of this day, please feel free to sign up!
There will be approximately 15 activity stations and it would be ideal to have one volunteer at each location during each of the following time frames--
Kindy/1st: 8:45-9:50am
2nd/3rd: 10:15-11:30am
4th/5th: 1:00-2:20pm
Note: You may sign up for multiple shifts if you are able!

Dress Up As Wiley for Events

Wiley is our Wildcat mascot and we need an army of volunteers we can reach out to interested in dressing up as Wiley for short periods of time at numerous events throughout the year. If interested in getting good vibes by cheering up students as the school mascot, reach out to info@oregontrailpto.com. Teens and students in middle school could also help out.  

OTE Garden Volunteers

Email oteschoolgarden@gmail.com if interested in joining our OTE Garden Team. Looking for members interesting in periodically maintaining or watering the garden or joining to support small group lessons featuring the garden. 

Check back soon for more schoolwide volunteer opportunities.  Reach out to your child's teacher for information on opportunities to volunteer in the classroom. 

New to Volunteering?

To volunteer on field trips, in classrooms and at school events, please complete the following steps:  

1. Submit a North Clackamas School District Volunteer Application, which includes a background check. Background checks take time to process, so please ensure you apply well ahead of your desired volunteer dates.

2. View the NCSD Volunteer Training Video and the Oregon Trail Volunteer Orientation Presentation at the links below to ensure you are familiar with volunteer expectations and guidelines. 

You will receive notice when your volunteer application has been processed and your background check has been cleared.  Background checks expire after 3 years. You will need to reapply to volunteer at that time.
